Music I listen to

Mostly "neo" soul. maxwell, jill scott, amel larrieux, angie stone, d'angelo, van hunt, john legend

but i have other eclectic tastes: godsmack, pearl jam, nirvana, u2, daughtry.

i'm not into "pop" until you can listen to a song 2 years from its debut and still love it, i don't consider it music.

Interesting facts about me

i'm a polyglot...of sorts...i speak spanish, italian and...although i only studied it for one semester and visited france twice briefly, i can read and understand french...can hardly speak it, though...i'm lazy. i also took two years of russian. now, thanks to all the lovely cambodian workers on my job, i'm learning words and phrases in khmer.

i studied abroad in spain...twice. once for an intensive summer program and the second time for an entire semester. i went to pamplona, watched the running of the bulls but my favorite festival is las fallas de valencia because i'm a total pyro.

i'm originally from new orleans. transplanted to nashville, tn by hurricane katrina. i have no plans to move back because...funny thing...i actually consider washington, dc...where i went to college...home. my goal is to move back there and live happily ever after...or at least until i get happy feet again.

i'm a graduate of Georgetown University and Johnson & Wale University Culinary Arts program. i love to read, sing, write, dance and cook.
